The Power of Words
Artistic works engaging with language, writing, text, voice or AI-generated speech. Between text art, the spoken word and decolonial perspectives, the submitted artists explore how language shapes perception, exposes power structures and opens up new forms of expression.
Thinking with Material
In an increasingly digital world, craft and materiality take on new meaning in contemporary art. Artists work with natural, recycled and innovative materials, linking traditional techniques with current social and ecological questions. The deliberate return to craft, textile, ceramics, wood, glass and other material processes counters virtual and algorithmic image worlds and stands for presence and the immediate experience of art. The material is not a passive carrier of an idea but the place of its emergence: in working with the material – in its resistance, its idiosyncrasies – a thinking begins that proceeds from the material and unfolds only in the work, before the eyes of the viewers.
Roots & Identities
Across generations, artists grapple with questions of identity, origin and belonging. While older generations often reflect on personal, cultural or geographic roots, the younger generation expands these perspectives with the influences of a globally connected, digital world. Personal experiences, family histories and cultural heritage meet new forms of community and self-understanding. The aim is to present works that connect past and present and show how identity continuously evolves without losing its roots.
